Often, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own analysis and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the opinions of many individual traders. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook has mispriced an outcome, they can express that view by trading on Polymarket. This can lead to odds on the prediction market diverging from those offered by sportsbooks, potentially offering value to informed bettors. It’s important to compare both to make well-informed decisions.
