Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set their lines based on models and internal analysis, while this market’s odds are determined by individuals trading based on their own information and beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a particular outcome is more likely than sportsbooks suggest, the odds on Polymarket will shift accordingly. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as new information becomes available or public sentiment changes. This provides an alternative perspective on the likely outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting growing confidence. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price is entirely driven by supply and demand, and traders are incentivized to provide accurate predictions, as profitable trades are rewarded. This dynamic process aims to converge towards a true probability assessment.
This market resolves around Sep 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
