Often, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from initial sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks may set lines based on traditional statistical models and expert opinions, while this market incorporates the collective judgment of many individual traders. If there’s a significant discrepancy, it could indicate that market participants possess information not yet fully priced into sportsbook lines, or that they simply have different assessments of the competitors' chances. It’s common to see prediction markets converge towards the true outcome more quickly than traditional betting markets.
