Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, with traders buying on Polymarket and selling on the sportsbook (or vice versa) to profit from the difference. It’s important to note that prediction markets may incorporate information not fully reflected in sportsbook lines.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price will fluctuate, reflecting the collective assessment of the event's likelihood. The current volume traded provides insight into the level of interest and conviction behind each possible result.
This market resolves around Sep 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The official results of the Le Neubourg trotting race will be used to determine the winning outcome. The resolution process relies on publicly available information to ensure an accurate and transparent result. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final outcome of the race.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market.
