Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own analysis and to balance action, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. If a significant number of people believe a player is more likely to win than sportsbooks suggest, the odds on Polymarket will shift accordingly. Comparing these odds to those offered by sportsbooks can reveal where the market disagrees with professional oddsmakers and potentially identify value bets.
