Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect a more accurate assessment of probabilities than traditional sportsbook odds, especially as the event nears. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while prediction markets allow traders to directly express their beliefs. However, sportsbook odds can still offer valuable insight, particularly for identifying initial market sentiment. It's common to see discrepancies between the two, as sportsbooks may be influenced by public betting patterns or promotional considerations, whereas this market is driven by informed traders.
