Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, driven by the collective intelligence of traders on Polymarket, aims to reflect the true probability of an outcome, potentially offering more favorable odds if there's disagreement between the market and sportsbook assessments. It's important to compare the implied probabilities to see where the discrepancies lie and inform your own judgment.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, the price increases, and vice-versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price is entirely determined by supply and demand among traders on the platform, reflecting their collective forecast for the Evora tennis match.
This market resolves around Sep 14, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
