Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, ensuring a profit margin. This market, being driven by user predictions, can sometimes offer more competitive odds, especially when there's a strong consensus forming. However, discrepancies can also arise due to differing information or risk assessments between the two. It's common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information and adjust prices accordingly, potentially leading to divergences from sportsbook offerings. Comparing these odds can provide a broader view of expectations.
