Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, being driven by the collective wisdom of traders, can sometimes provide more accurate probabilities, especially as new information emerges. However, sportsbook odds are readily available and widely publicized, offering a convenient benchmark for comparison. Discrepancies between the two can present opportunities for arbitrage, where traders attempt to profit from the difference in pricing.
