Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance betting action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows traders to directly express their beliefs about the outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by betting on both the prediction market and a sportsbook. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities as perceived by different groups, and neither is guaranteed to be perfectly accurate.
