Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own analysis and to balance action, while this market is driven by traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists between prediction market probabilities and sportsbook odds, it might suggest that the market believes the sportsbook has mispriced the event. It’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, but they are derived through different mechanisms and can fluctuate independently.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of the event occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe a particular outcome will happen, the higher the price of shares representing that outcome will rise, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds constantly adjust to incorporate new information and collective insights.

This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
