Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their liabilities and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on individuals freely trading based on their own analysis. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a sportsbook’s odds are inaccurate, they can influence the price here, potentially creating a divergence. It's common to see this market odds adjust more rapidly to new information or shifts in sentiment than traditional sportsbooks.
