Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, aiming to profit regardless of the outcome. This market, driven by the collective wisdom of traders, aims to reflect the true probabilities as perceived by the crowd. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, prediction markets can quickly adjust to new information and potentially outperform sportsbook odds, especially as the event approaches and more data becomes available. It's a fascinating comparison of different forecasting methods.
