Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook has mispriced an outcome, they can express that view by trading in the opposite direction, potentially driving the prediction market odds closer to what they perceive as the true probability. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or risk appetites between the two types of markets.
