Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while this market allows individuals to express their beliefs directly. If there's a significant discrepancy, it could indicate that the market believes a sportsbook has mispriced the event, or that new information hasn't yet been fully incorporated into sportsbook lines.
