Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the wisdom of the crowd. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a sportsbook’s odds are inaccurate, the prediction market may show a different probability for the same outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply a larger and more diverse pool of participants contributing to this market’s pricing.
