Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook has mispriced an outcome, they can take the opposite position, driving the prediction market odds in a different direction. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before a significant amount of trading volume occurs. These differences can present opportunities for arbitrage.
