Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds due to varying information sources and incentives. Sportsbooks establish lines based on their own analysis and aim to balance betting action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their view. Discrepancies can arise from differing levels of expertise among participants or the incorporation of unique data points not considered by sportsbooks. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information than traditional markets.
