Prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and incorporate a profit margin, whereas this market is driven purely by traders' willingness to buy or sell. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook odds, arbitrage opportunities may arise for informed traders. It’s common to see prediction markets incorporate information and perspectives not fully captured by traditional bookmakers, leading to potentially more accurate probabilities.
