On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment. The market’s price is determined by supply and demand – if more people believe a player will win, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market remains responsive to changing conditions.

Any news regarding player injuries, changes in playing conditions (like weather), or even shifts in public perception based on pre-match analysis could all cause the odds to shift. Unexpected announcements about a player’s physical condition or tactical approach would likely have a significant impact. Additionally, large trades on Polymarket itself can move the market, especially if they signal informed betting activity. Monitoring these signals will be key to understanding how the market evolves.
