Prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, ensuring a profit margin, and may be influenced by public betting patterns. This market, however, is driven by individuals directly wagering on the outcome, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities based on informed opinions. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information sources, analytical approaches, or simply varying levels of expertise among participants in each venue. It's common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information.
