Often, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set initial lines based on their own analysis, potentially incorporating biases or aiming to balance action on both sides. This market, however, is driven by individuals freely trading based on their own information and beliefs. If a significant number of people believe a sportsbook is mispricing a player’s chances, they can express that view by trading on Polymarket, potentially causing the prediction market odds to diverge from those offered by sportsbooks.
