Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance their risk, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is mispricing the probability of a particular result, the odds on Polymarket will adjust accordingly. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before substantial betting activity occurs in both venues, as differing information and analyses come into play.
