Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while Polymarket allows traders to directly express their beliefs about the probability of each outcome. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when there is strong public sentiment or information asymmetry. It's common to see prediction markets more accurately reflect true probabilities, particularly as more information becomes available and traders refine their assessments of this market. Polling data and expert analyses can also influence the odds here.
