Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a ‘vig’ or commission into their odds, ensuring profit regardless of the outcome, while prediction markets aim to reflect the true probability as assessed by traders. This means that, theoretically, prediction market odds can be more efficient, though discrepancies can arise due to differing information or market participants. It’s common to see this market’s implied probabilities diverge from initial sportsbook offerings, especially as new information becomes available and more traders participate.
