Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a profit margin into their odds, and may be influenced by public betting patterns or promotional considerations. This market, however, is driven by individuals directly wagering on the outcome, potentially leading to odds that more closely represent the true probability of each result as assessed by informed bettors. Discrepancies can arise due to differing levels of information, analytical approaches, and risk tolerance among participants in each venue.

Any news regarding player injuries, changes in playing conditions, or updated rankings could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected results in preceding matches for either player could also impact the perceived probability of their success. Furthermore, significant betting activity or large trades on Polymarket could create short-term price fluctuations, reflecting shifts in market confidence as traders react to new information or adjust their strategies.
