Often, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant discrepancy exists, it might indicate that the market perceives information differently than the sportsbook, or that one venue has more informed traders. It's important to note that both represent probabilities, but are derived through different mechanisms and may appeal to different types of bettors.
