Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a sportsbook has mispriced an outcome, you might see discrepancies between the two. It's common to observe prediction markets incorporating information faster than sportsbooks, especially for events with limited public data. This can lead to more accurate probabilities as the event approaches.
