Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, often differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own analysis and incorporate a profit margin, while this market is driven purely by traders’ willingness to buy or sell based on their individual assessments. If there’s significant disagreement between the two, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by exploiting the price difference. However, it’s common to see convergence as more information becomes available and the event approaches. Examining these differences can offer insights into public versus expert opinion.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the price fluctuates, reflecting the evolving consensus. Currently, the market is driven by the collective intelligence of those trading, and the price will continue to adjust until the event concludes. The volume traded provides an indication of the market’s confidence in the various outcomes.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before the Sep 11, 2026 resolution. Any news regarding player form, such as injury reports or recent match results, could significantly shift trader sentiment. Unexpected weather conditions at the match location could also play a role, potentially favoring one player’s style of play over another.
