Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from those offered by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance their risk, while this market allows traders to continuously adjust probabilities based on new information and their own analysis. If there's a significant discrepancy, it might indicate that the market believes the sportsbook has mispriced the event, or that new information hasn't yet been fully incorporated into the sportsbook's odds. Examining these differences can be a valuable exercise for informed bettors.
