Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of forecasters, potentially differing from sportsbook odds which may be influenced by factors like house bias or public perception. Sportsbooks typically set initial odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs. If a significant discrepancy emerges between prediction market probabilities and those offered by sportsbooks, arbitrage opportunities may arise for informed traders. It’s common to see convergence as the event approaches, but differences can persist.
