Prediction market odds on Polymarket often diverge from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect decentralized trader sentiment rather than bookmaker risk management. Sportsbooks adjust odds to balance liability and lock in margins; prediction markets respond directly to information flow and participant belief. For the VTB United League championship, comparing Polymarket probabilities to major sportsbook offerings can reveal where public perception differs from professional oddsmakers. Prediction markets may price in longer-tail scenarios or react faster to roster changes, injuries, or league developments that sportsbooks adjust more slowly.
