In the upcoming Besta deild game between Vikingur Reykjavik and Keflavik IF, scheduled for September 14, 2026 at 3:15 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Vikingur Reykjavik vs. Keflavik IF match originally scheduled for September 14, 2026 at 3:15 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, which can sometimes differ from sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their view. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the dynamics of supply and demand. It's common to see prediction markets incorporate information faster than traditional sportsbooks, particularly in response to late-breaking news or shifts in public opinion. Comparing the two can offer valuable insights for informed decision-making.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different possible exact scores. The price of each share reflects the market's current assessment of the probability of that outcome occurring. As more shares are traded, the price adjusts to find an equilibrium point. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Trading volume and order flow directly influence these prices, creating a dynamic and responsive market. The most actively traded outcomes will generally have the tightest spreads, indicating greater confidence and liquidity.
This market resolves around Sep 14, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the Vikingur Reykjavik vs. Keflavik IF match will be used to determine the winning outcome. The resolution will be based on the official result published by the governing sporting body. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final, verified result. It's important to monitor official sources for the confirmed score to understand when the market is officially settled.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team lineups, or weather conditions could significantly shift expectations. Unexpected announcements about team strategy or coaching decisions could also have an impact. Furthermore, public sentiment and betting patterns observed in other sources may influence trading activity. A significant surge in bets on a particular exact score would likely cause its price to rise, while increased selling pressure would push it down. Monitoring these signals can help you anticipate potential market movements.
