In the upcoming DFB-Pokal game between VfB Krieschow 1921 and 1. FSV Mainz 05, scheduled for August 23, 2026 at 9:30 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the VfB Krieschow 1921 vs. 1. FSV Mainz 05 match originally scheduled for August 23, 2026 at 9:30 AM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
The event evaluates multiple potential outcomes of the Krieschow vs Mainz DFB Pokal match scheduled for August 23, 2026, all based exclusively on regulation time results—specifically, the goal differential at the end of 90 minutes plus stoppage time, with no consideration for extra time or penalty phases. Four distinct criteria define resolution: Krieschow must win by more than 2.5 goals, Krieschow must win by more than 1.5 goals, Mainz must win by more than 1.5 goals, or Mainz must win by more than 2.5 goals. Any of these conditions satisfied during regulation time will resolve the event positively; otherwise, it resolves negatively. The rules explicitly clarify that Kalshi holds no official affiliation with the governing league, and all associated trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Prediction market odds on this market often diverge from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect decentralized trader sentiment rather than set bookmaker adjustments. Where sportsbooks may offer fixed spreads or over/under totals, this market lets participants bet on the precise score, capturing nuanced expectations about both teams’ performance. The implied probabilities here can appear sharper or more volatile, depending on recent news and on-platform activity, while sportsbooks smooth outcomes to manage risk.
