Description

These markets track how decisively one team outperforms the other in the first half of an upcoming college football game. Outcomes depend entirely on the point differential at halftime, with various thresholds defining different market resolutions.

Kalshi

All markets resolve based solely on the point difference between Auburn and Vanderbilt at the end of the first half of the game scheduled for September 26, 2026. Markets with Auburn as the favorite resolve to Yes if Auburn's lead exceeds the specified point margin; markets with Vanderbilt as the underdog resolve to Yes if Vanderbilt's lead exceeds the specified margin. Only points scored during the first half count toward resolution. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of its original scheduled start time, all markets remain open and resolve based on the official halftime result. If the game fails to start within 48 hours of its original scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price, ensuring equitable treatment for all participants regardless of game timing changes.

Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from initial sportsbook lines which may be influenced by factors like house bias or early public betting. Sportsbooks set initial lines to balance action on both sides, while this market allows traders to freely express their beliefs about the true probability of the spread. Over time, this market's price can converge with or diverge from sportsbook odds as new information becomes available and more traders participate. It's common to see discrepancies, particularly before significant events or news breaks.

On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing different point spreads for the Vanderbilt-Auburn first half. The price of each contract reflects the market's assessment of the probability of that spread occurring. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust to reflect the collective intelligence of the market. The goal is for the market price to accurately represent the likelihood of the actual first-half spread.

This market resolves around Sep 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final point spread of the first half of the Vanderbilt versus Auburn football game will be used to determine which contracts settle at 100, and which settle at 0. The resolution will be based on the official result reported by a trusted sports data source. Traders will then receive payouts based on their positions in the market at the time of resolution.

Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Vanderbilt or Auburn teams would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favorable to one team’s style of play, could also shift the market. Unexpected coaching decisions or strategic adjustments announced before the game could also impact trader sentiment. Finally, large volume trades on Kalshi itself can create short-term price fluctuations as traders react to new information or positions.
