In the upcoming MLS game between Vancouver Whitecaps FC and D.C. United SC, scheduled for September 26, 2026 at 10:30 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Vancouver Whitecaps FC vs. D.C. United SC match originally scheduled for September 26, 2026 at 10:30 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines which are set by oddsmakers. Sportsbooks may incorporate biases or focus on public perception, while this market aggregates the diverse perspectives of many individual traders. Over time, the odds on Predict tend to become more accurate as more information is factored in and trading volume increases. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform traditional bookmakers, especially closer to the event date, as they efficiently incorporate new data and insights.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing different exact scores. The price of each contract reflects the market's collective belief about the probability of that score occurring. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust dynamically, creating a real-time assessment of the likely outcome. The higher the demand for a particular score, the higher its price, and therefore the lower its implied probability. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date information available.
This market resolves around Sep 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official score of the Vancouver Whitecaps FC vs. D.C. United SC match will be used to determine the winning contract. Any delays in official reporting may affect the resolution time, but the process is designed to be as swift and accurate as possible. Traders will be able to claim their winnings once the result is officially confirmed and processed on Predict.
Several factors could influence this market before it resolves. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either the Whitecaps or D.C. United would likely cause significant shifts in the odds. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to heavily impact the style of play, could also move the market. Furthermore, any tactical announcements from the coaches regarding starting lineups or strategic approaches could affect traders’ predictions. Even general shifts in public sentiment, as reflected by media coverage and fan discussions, can influence trading activity and therefore the prices within this market.
