Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell contracts representing different exact scores in the Valur Reykjavik vs. Thor Akureyri match. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy into a particular outcome, its price increases, and the implied probability rises. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price and decreases the probability. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants.
This market resolves around Sep 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official result of the Valur Reykjavik vs. Thor Akureyri match, as reported by a recognized sports data provider, will determine the winning contract. All trades will be settled based on this verified result. It’s important to note that the resolution process relies on publicly available information and does not involve subjective judgment or external opinions.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before the match concludes. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team formations, or even weather conditions could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about key players being unavailable or changes in coaching strategies would likely have a significant impact. Furthermore, as the match progresses, real-time updates and in-game events will drive price fluctuations. Strong early performance by one team, a red card, or a penalty could all cause the market to react quickly.
