This market refers to the Valorant match between Wolves Esports and TEC Esports in the VCT China Stage 2 Group Omega, initially scheduled for July 9 at 4:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Wolves Esports" if Wolves Esports win the match against TEC Esports. This market will resolve to "TEC Esports" if TEC Esports win the match against Wolves Esports. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by trader conviction and real-money stakes. Comparing this market's implied probability to major sportsbook lines can reveal where sharp bettors see value or where public sentiment differs from professional oddsmakers. Both sources offer useful signals, but they rarely align perfectly on esports matchups.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds through an automated market maker that adjusts prices based on buy and sell volume. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders purchase shares predicting one outcome, the higher that outcome's price climbs, and vice versa. This continuous price discovery mechanism means the market reflects real-time belief about which team will win the best-of-three series. Liquidity and trading activity directly influence how quickly prices respond to breaking news or roster changes.
This market resolves around Jul 9, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome hinges on which team wins the best-of-three series in this VCT China Stage 2 Group Omega fixture. Resolution typically occurs shortly after the final map is played and the winner is officially confirmed by tournament organizers or major esports news outlets. Traders should monitor the event schedule to anticipate when settlement will occur.
Several factors could shift odds before the match begins. Roster announcements, player injuries, or last-minute lineup changes for either team would likely trigger sharp movement. Scrim results or recent tournament performance by Wolves or TEC could sway trader sentiment. Meta shifts in Valorant's competitive landscape, map pool updates, or coaching changes might also influence expectations. Social media buzz, analyst predictions, and betting action from professional esports bettors can accelerate price swings as the match date approaches.
