This market refers to the Valorant match between University War and KRÜ Blaze in the VCL Latin America South: Regular Season, initially scheduled for June 17 at 6:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "University War" if University War win the match against KRÜ Blaze. This market will resolve to "KRÜ Blaze" if KRÜ Blaze win the match against University War. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets are driven purely by trader conviction and information flow. For esports matchups like this one, prediction markets may react faster to roster changes, recent performance, or community sentiment, whereas sportsbooks adjust more cautiously to manage liability. Comparing the two can reveal where one venue undervalues or overvalues a team relative to the other.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that adjusts odds continuously as traders place orders. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Shares representing each outcome are bought and sold at prices between 0 and 1, with the current price reflecting the implied probability. Larger trades move the price more sharply, incentivizing traders to act on information asymmetries or unique insights about the Valorant matchup before the broader market catches up.
This market resolves around Jun 18, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be confirmed based on which team wins the best-of-three series. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless. Early resolution is possible if the match is officially cancelled or postponed indefinitely.
Key catalysts include roster announcements, player substitutions, or injury reports affecting either team's lineup strength. Recent scrim results, tournament performance, or public statements from coaches and players can shift trader confidence. Meta shifts in Valorant patch notes may favor one team's agent pool or playstyle over the other. Betting activity on external sportsbooks, community sentiment on social media, and expert analysis from esports commentators can also trigger repricing as new information reaches the market.
