This prediction group concerns a Valorant match between TEC Esports and Unsettled Resentment in the China Evolution Series Act 3 Playoffs. Markets cover the overall match winner, individual map winners, total games played, map handicaps, and total rounds played on specific maps.
This market refers to the Valorant Quarterfinal 2 match between TEC Esports and Unsettled Resentment in the China Evolution Series Act 3 Playoffs, initially scheduled for September 9, 2026 at 7:00 AM ET. This market will resolve to "TEC Esports" if TEC Esports win the match against Unsettled Resentment. This market will resolve to "Unsettled Resentment" if Unsettled Resentment win the match against TEC Esports. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before September 23, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of September 9, 2026 at 7:00 AM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.
The event determines the winner of a specific Valorant match held during the China Evolution Series Act 3 2026, scheduled for September 9, 2026, at 7:00 AM EDT, between Unsettled Resentment and TEC Esports. If the match concludes with Unsettled Resentment as the victor, the corresponding market for that team resolves to Yes; conversely, if TEC Esports wins, its market resolves to Yes. Should the match be postponed beyond 48 hours of its original start time, cancelled before play begins, or forfeited prior to any gameplay, both markets resolve to their fair market price. If the match starts but is later forfeited, the outcome follows the official result declared by the tournament organizer or governing body. Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict for the Valorant China Evolution Playoffs, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the differing incentives of participants. Sportsbooks aim to profit by setting lines that attract balanced betting, while prediction market participants are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. This can lead to prediction markets reflecting a 'wisdom of the crowd' effect, potentially offering more accurate probabilities, especially as more information becomes available. However, sportsbook odds often incorporate factors like team news and player form more rapidly, while this market relies on aggregated user predictions.
Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Prices on Polymarket and Predict can diverge for several reasons. Each platform has a different user base with varying expertise and risk tolerance, influencing their predictions. Furthermore, the specific markets offered on each platform may focus on different aspects of the match – for example, Polymarket currently favors Map 1 Total Rounds: Over/Under 21.5 at 96%, while Predict leans toward Valorant: TEC Esports vs Unsettled Resentment - Map 1 Winner. Trading volume and liquidity also play a role; lower volume can lead to greater price fluctuations. These factors contribute to the distinct price discovery processes on each platform.
