Description

This market refers to the Valorant match between Team Liquid and Karmine Corp in the VCT EMEA Group Alpha, initially scheduled for April 1 at 2:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "Team Liquid" if Team Liquid win the match against Karmine Corp. This market will resolve to "Karmine Corp" if Karmine Corp win the match against Team Liquid. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue:

Polymarket defines five distinct markets with granular resolution rules tied to match completion, map outcomes, and specific forfeit scenarios. Kalshi collapses all outcomes into a single binary market that resolves YES if either team wins, creating a logical contradiction: Kalshi's market cannot distinguish between Team Liquid victory and Karmine Corp victory, making it fundamentally unresolvable as written.

Hero Tip:

Do not trade Kalshi's market as currently written. If you hold a position on Kalshi, clarify with the platform whether the market should resolve YES for both teams or whether it requires a team-specific outcome. Polymarket's five markets are resolvable and internally consistent; use those as your primary reference.

Critical Divergence Points:

  • Polymarket: Distinct stance: Polymarket offers five separate markets (Match Winner, Map 1 Winner, Map 2 Winner, Map Handicap, and Games Total O/U 2.5), each with explicit resolution rules tied to match completion, forfeit handling, and timing thresholds. Key quote: 'If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's match forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to 50-50' (Match Winner); 'Maps won by forfeit, disqualification, walkover, or default are counted towards the handicap, provided that the match is completed' (Map Handicap).
  • Kalshi: Outlier: Kalshi collapses the entire event into a single binary market that resolves YES if 'Karmine Corp wins' OR 'Team Liquid wins' the match, with no logical distinction between the two outcomes. This creates a logical impossibility: the market cannot simultaneously resolve YES for both teams. Key quote: 'If Karmine Corp wins the VCT EMEA 2026: Karmine Corp vs. Team Liquid Valorant match originally scheduled for Apr 1, 2026, then the market resolves to Yes. If Team Liquid wins the VCT EMEA 2026: Karmine Corp vs. Team Liquid Valorant match originally scheduled for Apr 1, 2026, then the market resolves to Yes.'
