This market refers to the Valorant match between Team Liquid and Eternal Fire in the VCT EMEA Group Omega, initially scheduled for July 15 at 2:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "Team Liquid" if Team Liquid win the match against Eternal Fire. This market will resolve to "Eternal Fire" if Eternal Fire win the match against Team Liquid. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate decentralized trader beliefs in real time. For esports events like this one, prediction markets can react faster to roster changes, scrim results, or team announcements. Comparing the two can reveal where public consensus differs from professional oddsmakers, though both sources offer valuable perspective on likely outcomes.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader activity into real-time odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The top outcome currently reflects a round handicap structure—specifically, whether Team Liquid will cover a negative spread or Eternal Fire will exceed a positive one. Prices move as traders buy and sell shares, with each contract representing a claim on a specific outcome. The more capital flowing into one side, the higher its price climbs, creating a continuous price discovery mechanism that reflects collective trader expectations for how the match will play out.
This market resolves around Jul 15, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution depends on the final result of the match and which specific outcome you've predicted—whether that's the overall winner, map scores, or round handicaps. Once the match concludes and results are officially published, the market will settle accordingly. Check the market details page for any final clarifications on how each outcome maps to real-world events.
Several factors could shift odds before this market resolves. Roster announcements, player substitutions, or injury news affecting either team would likely trigger repricing. Recent scrim results, head-to-head records, or meta shifts in Valorant could also influence trader positioning. Patch updates or map pool changes announced by Riot Games might alter strategic expectations. Additionally, performance in earlier group matches or statements from team management could provide new information that traders incorporate into their positions.
