This market tracks the outcome of individual maps in a Valorant Best-of-3 quarterfinal match between Team Heretics and BBL Esports at the Esports World Cup Playoffs. The aggregated consensus across Polymarket and Kalshi shows 100.0% probability for the leading outcome. Resolution will be determined by vlr.gg official match records. Watch for the match scheduled July 9, 2026 at 7:00 AM EDT to settle map-level predictions.
This market refers to the Valorant Quarterfinal 1 match between Team Heretics and BBL Esports in the Esports World Cup Playoffs, initially scheduled for July 9 at 7:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Team Heretics" if Team Heretics win the match against BBL Esports. This market will resolve to "BBL Esports" if BBL Esports win the match against Team Heretics. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.
The market resolves to Yes if either BBL Esports or Team Heretics wins their scheduled Valorant match at the Esports World Cup 2026 on July 9, 2026 at 7:00 AM EDT. Each team has a corresponding outcome; whichever team wins this match will trigger a Yes resolution for their respective market outcome.
Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts distinct trader demographics, liquidity pools, and risk tolerances, causing temporary price gaps on identical outcomes. Kalshi's regulatory structure and user base may emphasize different information signals than Polymarket's global audience. Latency in arbitrage, platform fees, and withdrawal mechanics also create friction that prevents instant price convergence. Monitoring both venues reveals which platform is leading price discovery and whether traders on one side are more confident than the other, offering tactical insight for market participants.
Team roster changes, player substitutions, or injury announcements for either squad could significantly shift odds. Recent tournament performance, head-to-head records, and map pool strength assessments typically drive repricing as the match date approaches. Playoff bracket positioning and momentum from earlier rounds influence trader conviction. Live-match developments—early map wins, economic advantages, or tactical shifts—will accelerate price movement during the event itself. Monitor official team announcements and esports media coverage for lineup confirmations and pre-match analysis that traders use to refine their positions.
