This market refers to the Valorant match between T1 Academy and So:sweet in the VCL Korea: Regular Season, initially scheduled for June 26 at 1:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "T1 Academy" if T1 Academy win the match against So:sweet. This market will resolve to "So:sweet" if So:sweet win the match against T1 Academy. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by trader consensus and real-money conviction. Esports markets, particularly in regional competitions like VCL Korea, may see wider gaps than mainstream sports because sportsbook coverage is thinner. Comparing this market's implied probability to available esports betting lines can reveal whether traders are pricing the matchup differently than traditional oddsmakers, potentially signaling value or market inefficiency.
On Polymarket, traders set the price by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current odds reflect the aggregate belief of all participants: a higher price means the market assigns a higher probability to that outcome. As new information emerges—team roster changes, recent match results, or player performance—traders adjust their positions, moving the price up or down. Liquidity and trading volume influence how quickly prices respond to new signals, so markets with deeper pools tend to adjust more smoothly.
This market resolves around Jun 26, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by the final score and series winner in the best-of-three format. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the match ending, once the official result is confirmed and the platform processes the settlement.
Several factors could shift trader sentiment before the match. Roster announcements, player injuries, or last-minute lineup changes can trigger sharp repricing. Recent scrim results or public statements from team coaches may influence confidence in either side. Meta shifts in Valorant patches or map pool updates could favor one team's playstyle over the other. Media coverage, expert predictions, and community discussion often move casual traders, while professional analysts' takes can sway informed participants. As the match date approaches, any news about team form or competitive momentum typically generates trading activity.
