This market refers to the Valorant Upper bracket semifinal 2 match between SaD Esports and Shopify Rebellion Black in the VCL North America: Stage 3 Playoffs, initially scheduled for July 5 at 7:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "SaD Esports" if SaD Esports win the match against Shopify Rebellion Black. This market will resolve to "Shopify Rebellion Black" if Shopify Rebellion Black win the match against SaD Esports. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and extract margin, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous pricing. For esports matchups like this one, sportsbook odds may lag behind market-driven repricing, especially as new information emerges closer to event time. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus opinion differs from professional oddsmaking, though each serves distinct purposes for different audiences.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that adjusts odds based on trader activity and order flow. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Participants buy and sell outcome shares, with prices reflecting the collective assessment of which team advances or which map winner emerges. As traders accumulate positions, the implied probability shifts in real time, creating a dynamic price discovery mechanism that incorporates new information, team form, and strategic adjustments throughout the tournament window.
This market resolves around Jul 6, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official tournament bracket, broadcast results, and league records for VCL North America Stage 3 Playoffs. Traders holding positions on the correct outcome receive their payout based on the final series result, whether that reflects a map-specific winner or the overall match victor, depending on which contract they hold.
Several factors can shift odds before resolution. Roster changes, player injuries, or unexpected roster substitutions announced by either organization could trigger repricing. Recent tournament performance, scrim results, or meta shifts in Valorant patch notes may influence trader conviction. Playoff bracket positioning and opponent matchups in earlier rounds could affect perceived difficulty. Media reports on team morale, coaching changes, or strategic innovations also move sentiment. As the event date approaches and teams finalize preparations, late-breaking information typically accelerates volatility in this market.
