This market will resolve to "Paper Rex" if Paper Rex win the match against Team Vitality. This market will resolve to "Team Vitality" if Team Vitality win the match against Paper Rex. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction markets and sportsbooks price outcomes differently because they operate under distinct incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and extract a margin, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. Prediction market odds often reflect sharper, less-biased estimates because traders risk real capital on accuracy rather than chasing volume. However, sportsbooks may move faster on breaking news or injury reports, and they typically offer tighter liquidity on major events. Comparing both sources can reveal valuable discrepancies before consensus shifts.
Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, fee structures, and user bases, which naturally produces price variation. Kalshi and Limitless may also differ in how quickly they reflect new information, their liquidity depth at various price levels, and the specific wording of their outcome definitions. Arbitrage traders typically exploit these gaps, but temporary spreads persist due to capital constraints and the time required to move funds between venues. Monitoring both platforms helps you identify mispricings and understand which venue's traders are most confident in their assessment.
Key catalysts include roster changes, player substitutions, or injury announcements affecting either team's lineup strength. Recent tournament performance, scrim results, and head-to-head records can shift trader sentiment as the match date nears. Meta shifts in the game itself—balance patches or map rotations—may favor one team's playstyle over the other. Media coverage, expert predictions, and community sentiment can also influence odds. Watch for betting activity spikes around official announcements or major esports news, as these often precede significant price moves on this market.
