This market refers to the Valorant Decider match between NRG and Karmine Corp in the Esports World Cup Group B, initially scheduled for July 6 at 9:45AM ET. This market will resolve to "NRG" if NRG win the match against Karmine Corp. This market will resolve to "Karmine Corp" if Karmine Corp win the match against NRG. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets are driven by trader consensus and real-money conviction. This market may show higher or lower implied probabilities than traditional sports betting sites, depending on whether informed traders believe the sportsbook line undervalues or overvalues one team. Comparing the two can reveal where smart money sees value relative to conventional betting markets.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker (AMM) pool. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The cost to buy a share reflects the current implied probability; as more capital flows into one outcome, its price rises and the opposing outcome's price falls. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures the market stays responsive to new information, team updates, or betting pressure. Liquidity depth determines how much slippage you experience on larger trades, so checking the order book helps you understand execution costs.
This market resolves around Jul 6, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by which team wins the best-of-three series under official Esports World Cup rules. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the final map, allowing the market to settle quickly and fairly based on the official match result.
Key catalysts include roster announcements, player injuries or substitutions, recent tournament performance, and head-to-head map history. Pre-match interviews, coaching changes, or leaked practice scrim results can shift trader expectations significantly. In-game momentum during the series itself—such as a dominant first map or a dramatic comeback—will trigger sharp repricing as live information flows in. Meta shifts in Valorant's competitive landscape and team chemistry updates closer to the event date may also influence implied probabilities before the opening map begins.
