Description

This market refers to the Valorant match between MIBR and LOUD in the VCT Americas Stage 1 Group Alpha, initially scheduled for April 18 at 8:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "MIBR" if MIBR win the match against LOUD. This market will resolve to "LOUD" if LOUD win the match against MIBR. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

All platforms apply identical resolution logic: markets resolve based on the actual match outcome as reported by vlr.gg, with consistent handling of forfeits, incomplete matches, cancellations, and 7-day delay thresholds across Polymarket and Kalshi.

Primary resolution logic:

Official information from https://vlr.gg, with fallback to consensus of credible reporting and video evidence if vlr.gg does not publish results within 2 hours of event conclusion.

Core resolution logic:

  • Match Winner (BO3): Resolves to the team that wins the best-of-three series. If match is forfeited before play begins, resolves 50-50. If match begins but is incomplete and one team wins by opponent forfeiture/disqualification/walkover, resolves to the winning team. If canceled, ends in tie, or delayed beyond 7 days without play beginning, resolves 50-50.
  • Map 1 Winner: Resolves to the team that wins Map 1. If Map 1 is not completed, resolves 50-50. If match is canceled or delayed beyond 7 days without play beginning, resolves 50-50.
  • Map 2 Winner: Resolves to the team that wins Map 2. If Map 2 is not completed, resolves 50-50. If match is canceled or delayed beyond 7 days without play beginning, resolves 50-50.
  • Games Total O/U 2.5: Resolves Over if 3 or more maps are played; Under if fewer than 3 maps are played. Maps won by forfeit, disqualification, walkover, or default count toward the total if match is completed. If match is canceled, ends in tie, delayed beyond 7 days without winner determined, or begins but incomplete with forfeiture/disqualification/walkover, resolves 50-50. If clinching map is forfeited, counts as completed match.
  • Map Handicap MIBR (-1.5) vs LOUD (+1.5): Resolves to MIBR if MIBR wins 2 or more maps than LOUD; otherwise resolves to LOUD. Maps won by forfeit, disqualification, walkover, or default count toward handicap if match is completed. If match is canceled, ends in tie, delayed beyond 7 days without winner determined, or begins but incomplete with forfeiture/disqualification/walkover, resolves 50-50. If clinching map is forfeited, counts as completed match.

Edge cases & Clarifications:

  • Incomplete Match with Forfeiture: If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to opponent forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, the Match Winner market resolves to the winning team. However, Games Total O/U 2.5 and Map Handicap markets resolve 50-50 in this scenario.
  • Clinching Map Forfeiture: If the match ends due to the clinching map being forfeited (e.g., one team forfeits Map 3 when series is 1-1), this counts as a completed match and all markets resolve based on the final series outcome.
  • 7-Day Delay Threshold: If the match is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date (April 18, 2026 at 8:00 PM EDT) without play beginning, all markets resolve 50-50.
  • Team Name Discrepancies: Minor discrepancies in team names (abbreviations, alternate spellings, sponsor tags, regional identifiers, formatting differences) are treated as referring to the same team provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team or could refer to another team in the same competition, the market resolves 50-50.

Timing:

Resolution occurs upon official announcement of the match result by vlr.gg. If vlr.gg does not publish final results within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, resolution is based on consensus of credible reporting and video evidence.
