Description

This market refers to the Valorant match between MIBR and Cloud9 in the VCT Americas Stage 1 Group Alpha, initially scheduled for April 26 at 8:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "MIBR" if MIBR win the match against Cloud9. This market will resolve to "Cloud9" if Cloud9 win the match against MIBR. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

All Polymarket markets and the Kalshi binary match-winner market apply identical core logic: official vlr.gg results, 50-50 on cancellation/tie/7-day delay, and consistent forfeit treatment across platforms.

Primary resolution logic:

vlr.gg official match results; credible reporting consensus (including video evidence) if vlr.gg does not publish within 2 hours of event conclusion

Core resolution logic:

  • Match winner (Polymarket Q4, Kalshi): resolves to the team that wins the best-of-three series
  • Map handicap (Polymarket Q1): MIBR wins if they win 2+ more maps than Cloud9; otherwise Cloud9 wins
  • Individual map winners (Polymarket Q6, Q8): resolve to the team winning that specific map if completed; 50-50 if map is not completed
  • Series length over/under 2.5 (Polymarket Q10): Over if 3+ maps played; Under if fewer than 3 maps played
  • Forfeit/disqualification/walkover before match start: resolves to 50-50
  • Forfeit/disqualification/walkover after match begins: resolves to the team that wins; exception—if clinching map is forfeited, counts as completed match
  • Maps won by forfeit, disqualification, or walkover: count toward series totals and map handicap if match is completed
  • Cancellation, tie, or delay beyond 7 days without winner: resolves to 50-50

Edge cases & Clarifications:

  • Clinching map forfeited: If the series-clinching map is forfeited by one team, the match is treated as completed and resolves to the team that clinched; forfeit counts toward map totals and handicap.
  • Match begins but incomplete with forfeit: If match begins, one or more maps are played, then opponent forfeits before series conclusion, the match resolves 50-50 for match-winner and series-length markets; individual completed maps still resolve to their winner.
  • vlr.gg delay beyond 2 hours: If vlr.gg does not publish final results within 2 hours of event conclusion, credible reporting consensus (including video evidence) may be used as fallback resolution source.
  • Team name discrepancies: Minor spelling variations, abbreviations, sponsor tags, or regional identifiers (e.g., 'MIBR' vs 'Miners' or 'Cloud9' vs 'C9') resolve based on the underlying real-world team; exact name matching is not required if intent is unambiguous.
  • 7-day delay without play: If match is delayed beyond 7 days from April 26, 2026 8:00 PM ET without any play beginning or a winner determined, all markets resolve 50-50.

Timing:

Resolution occurs upon official publication of final match results by vlr.gg or within 2 hours thereafter via credible consensus; edge cases (cancellation, delay, forfeit) trigger 50-50 resolution per rules above.
