On Polymarket and Kalshi, prices can vary because each venue has its own user base, liquidity conditions, and trading dynamics. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For instance, one platform might see heavier participation from regional fans who interpret practice scrimmages differently, while the other could be influenced by global traders reacting to analyst streams. These distinct participant motivations often produce temporary divergences, especially before key matches where new information emerges.
Several signals could shift this market before it settles, including last-minute roster swaps, player injury updates, or dominant performance trends in earlier tournament maps. Media analysis highlighting strategic advantages may also sway trader sentiment. On both Polymarket and Kalshi, sudden shifts in betting volume — especially around practice matches or coach announcements — often produce noticeable price adjustments as participants reassess probabilities.
